ISSUE 15

"Ferry Meadows is one of my favourite match venues, and it's one that I fish a lot during the summer. There are some big matches held here too which is great and it gets used a lot for the various feeder fishing only events that we now have running around the country. There's a big event coming up in less than two weeks so I thought I'd bring the Feeder Fishing cameras along with me on a practice session where I'm going to fish the tactics I'm expecting to work to show you how I go about approaching this type of venue in a match.

 

I'm fishing what's called the High Bank on Gunwade (peg 41), and the bank is normally preceded with the word 'dreaded' when anglers refer to it! But it's deeper along this bank and it's perfect for me to demonstrate how I go about fishing two lines, one for silver fish and the other for bream, so you can see the differences in bait and feeders etc and see how I work them both to hopefully keep fish coming."
